SSTC NRS researcher Marat Mustafin and Head of the NPP Lifetime Department of the Paton Electric Welding Institute Volodymyr Diemienkov presented the concept of an integrated approach to assess the integrity of NPP primary equipment and piping using correlated calculations in ANSYS and Relap Code.

Oleksii Tokarevsky, Head of Laboratory for Safe Radioactive Waste Management of the Decommissioning Department, prepared and presented the information.

The meeting of the European User Group of MELCOR and MACCS codes used to model and predict severe accident progression in the reactors and spent fuel pools was held in Brugg (Switzerland) in early April.
The State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety held a seminar-presentation of the draft regulatory legal act “Basic Ionizing Radiation Sources Safety Rules”. The purpose of the development of new Rules is to improve the regulatory requirements for radiation safety of the use of ionizing radiation sources in accordance with international standards of the IAEA and EU Directive 2013/59/EURATOM.
