Representatives of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety have participated in the fourth (final) working meeting within Task A4.3 of project BY3.01/13 (BE/RA/08), which was to provide support to the regulatory body of the Republic of Belarus (GAN) in expert assessments of deliverables on the probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) of the Belarusian NPP.
A working meeting on the project “Support and Assistance to Strengthen the Capabilities of the Belarusian Nuclear Regulatory Authority MES/Gosatomnadzor in the Field of Licensing and Supervision of Construction of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant” was recently held in SSTC NRS.
On 12 and 13 November, a working meeting was held in SSTC NRS within project “Support to the SNRIU in Strengthening and Ensuring Reliability of Severe Accident Analysis Models Based on Current EU Experience and Fukushima Lessons”. Draft Laws of Ukraine “On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine in Nuclear Energy Use” No. 7471-d of 21 May 2018 and No. 5550-d of 21 May 2018 were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for consideration.
On 14 and 15 November, the accident emergency training was held in the Emergency and Information Center (EIC) of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine jointly with the Energoatom Company and its separate subdivision Zaporizhzhya NPP.
